The Leatherette material is a faux leather that acts and feels just like genuine leather. While other well known brands are made with a hard rubber material, our Leatherette is softer and a bit thicker at 1mm vs the .5 mm of the other guys. We've given you a choice of 5 different colors to make your firearm unique.NOTE: PLEASE EITHER CHOOSE THE "SF" OR THE "ELITE" OPTION AS BOTH GUNS ARE DIFFERENT. ** WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE** You will receive a 4" x 5" sheet of material with strong 3M brand adhesive backing that you can custom fit to your handgun. The backing is strong and tested not to come off unless you want it to.. The grips can be removed and replaced if necessary. **INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING GRIPS** TEJAS PRODUCTS GRIP TAPE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS MAKE SURE YOUR FIREARM IS UNLOADED. FOLLOW ALL FIREARM SAFTEY RULES Overlap strips of either Blue Painters tape or Masking tape over the area that you wish to cover with your grip tape. Once you have finished covering the desired area, begin tracing the outline that you wish to cut out with pen or pencil. Once you have your design, carefully remove the tape from your firearm while making sure all layers of tape stay together as one piece. Using either scissors or a razor blade style knife, trim the tape to the desired shape. Now stick your cutout pattern to the grip tape and again using either scissors or a sharp razor bladed style blade cut out the pattern. Take your finished grip and dry fit to your firearm to verify that you are happy with the results. Once you are satisfied you can remove the adhesive covering and either staring in the middle or either side, slowly with even pressure adhere your grip to your firearm. Once you have completely attached your grip, slowly with firm pressure using your fingers, press into all curves, indentions ,etc to make sure that a strong bond is made.
